Since we can’t really go anywhere due to being quarantined, we have been tackling budget friendly projects around the house. The first one we wanted to do was our pantry. The amount of storage was limited and I absolutely hate wire shelving so it needed to go!
As you can see, we were lacking storage (and organization) in our pantry. We made a quick trip to Lowe’s to pick up supplies and kept to our small budget.
Before the makeover
We used these directions from Shanty 2 as our guide. We changed a few things to make our project a little more budget friendly. Here is the link: https://www.shanty-2-chic.com/2016/03/diy-floating-shelves-plans-tutorial.html If you haven’t heard of them before, you REALLY need to check our their stuff. These women are super talented and make the best budget friendly DIY projects.
We removed all items and shelving before painting the pantry the same color as our kitchen. Once we let that dry overnight, we installed the floating shelves.
Once floating shelves were installed, it was time to somewhat organize. I purchased these storage containers & baskets from Wal-Mart. I love the way everything came together and we were to create more storage and organization and also stayed within our budget of $100!
